Arcologies are the largest of the puppets created by Mechanized Archons, carrying a massive sixteen total slots. They are also, however, exceptionally rare, particularly when accounting for the fact that Mechanized Archons only ever spawn one puppet at a time. A group of Anchorages is called an ecumenopolis.

Anchorages - Arcologies

Physical Description

Arcologies are particularly impressively built given their fellows' tendencies towards lean and gangly builds. They are actually slightly shorter than Shlephs at just 7' 8" (234cm), but make up for it in both flesh bulk and the large cantilevers that replace their antlers. An Arcology can carry a pair of quad slots on its back (similar in functionality to a Shleph's octa slot), but the Arcology makes up the difference with the penta slot and triple slot on its cantilevers, giving the Arcology a massive module potential.

Behaviour

Arcologies are almost stubbornly pacifistic creatures: they avoid installing weapons unless there is absolutely no other choice. Instead, they prefer to install modules to support other puppets: Apartments for Serfs, Hangars for Divisions, Fabricators for smaller Mechanized Puppets, Storage Bays or Tanks, and even specialty tools like Prospectors. In the rare instances they do install weapons, it is always either rocket pods in the odd slots on their cantilevers, or a single Spinogun for mining purposes on their larger cantilever.

This pacifism is largely explained by their social behaviours: with their enormous capacity for support systems, an Arcology will typically form the backbone of a work crew. Wherever an Arcology settles, other puppets will typically follow to make use of its support, and Arcologies typically enjoy the protection of a Praetor or even a Paladin once they are established.

Genetic Description

As far as Mechanized Puppets go, Arcologies have a fair bit going on, given their bodies need extra structure to support their massive cantilevers. The massive amount of space all this mechanical structure takes occupies space that would be reserved for their bodily systems, and as such, even though Arcologies have the benefits of a refined Haetin hull, they are overall not quite as resilient in the face of sustained beatings.

Hyacinth's Thoughts

I never cared much for fighting, personally. There are ways to solve many problems with kindness, and there's a certain contentment I find in many of my children sharing similar opinions. That all said, however, I don't think I've ever met any that are quite so stubborn about it as the Arcologies. It's charming how much they abhor violence, even going so far as to refuse carrying weapons unless it is absolutely necessary. They are children after my own heart, no doubt.

Metanarrative

Arcologies, being one of the only unique Mechanized Puppet variants, cap off the size classes of the Mechanized Puppets. They keep the friendlier tendencies of the mechs of course, but still go about it in a different way. I'm actually surprised it took me this long to make a pacifistic puppet type, to be honest, but I guess it just goes to show you there'll always be some avenue you haven't explored.
