The smallest of the lesser titans spawned by Cambrians, Seraphs are massively powerful healers that can cure the sick, heal that which is broken, and even resurrect the dead. A group of Seraphs is known as a vision or a reprieve.

Physical Description

Seraphs are the smallest of the lesser titans by far, with some even debating their status as true lesser titans due to their size and the fact that they rely on numbers moreso than other lesser titans. A Seraph stands at 12' 9", with a rather lean build for a puppet of its stature. Seraphs are defined by their three pairs of wings, though they wear their wings differently from Brokers: A Seraph has a pair of wings on its head in place of a mane, a pair on its hindquarters in place of a tail, and two on its barrel for actual flight. Additionally, Seraphs have eye-festooned rings around each of their legs; up to two for each of their four legs.

Behaviour

Seraphs can be found in combat, though almost exclusively as healers. Their bodies are not built for combat, similarly to Serfs. In combat, Seraphs mostly focus on healing the allies around them, expending the magic stored in their body rings. The eyes close as more magic gets expended, and if enough magic is expended, the entire body ring can collapse and disappear. Seraphs can expend their magic anywhere, and each ring can passively regenerate its own energy supply, but a destroyed ring can only be recovered in proximity to a Cambrian.

While they sparesly use this ability in combat, Seraphs can expend a large amount of energy to resurrect deceased creatures, even if their body has been damaged or outright destroyed. Puppets are by far the easiest for them to resurrect, typically ranging from an eighth of a ring for small subpuppets to four of their rings for fallen lesser titans. For non-puppet creatures, the energy needed seems to vary a lot more, and most Seraphs will not attempt a non-puppet resurrection if they are alone for this reason.

While Seraphs are peaceful creatures, they have an uneasing presence due to their large stature and tendency to quietly observe situations from a distance before deciding to engage or not. Combined with their appearance, some people consider Seraphs quite offputting.

Genetic Description

Seraphs are strange among lesser titans as they have no verdant component of any kind. Their leg rings, however, are made of a densely compacted psionomagical material much like Wisps or elementals conjured by Totems. Their healing magic is also very similar in structure to the faint auras emitted by Reconcilants.

Metanarrative

I think Seraphs are the lesser titan that wears the biblical inspiration the most on its sleeve, taking inspiration from biblically accurate angels in both form and behaviour. Their function is, of course, different, being the chosen healers for a Cambrian's disaster relief program. They're also the smallest and weakest lesser titan by far, though they make up for this with numbers.
