Plurites are small Ouroborae that come about in pairs that split apart upon awakening. They are the most mobile of any Ouroboran, gliding fluidly between larger continents to act as large-scale transports. A duo of Plurites is often known as a twin, with a larger group being known as an archipelago.

Plurites are among the smallest Ouroborae, standing at just 1136 miles (1828.2km) tall. The continents on their back tend to resemble large islands rather than true continents, with an appropriate amount of climatological diversity. Plurites are also about as plain as Ouroborae come, with their lack of size seemingly being their defining trait. Their small size means their bodies run relatively hot compared to most Ouroborae, making them among the most tectonically active aside from Tremorids and Billiali.

Plurites are formed as twins conjoined at a hoof, breaking apart as they awaken, with each Plurite taking roughly half the land and body mass. Over their existence, their metabolisms and the gestalt's psionics balance the difference, though in rare cases one Plurite may take almost all of the shared crust in this splitting process, leading to a condition known as Shearing Syndrome. Shearing Syndrome, while not particularly dangerous, does result in an unpleasant period where the "greater" twin is overburdened by the (typically unbalanced) continental mass and the "lesser" twin is left entirely unprotected, requiring the aid of Perditioners to cut apart and rebalance the improperly handled mass.

Plurites themselves are very motile creatures, often drifting between larger Ouroborae and even between world shells as they gracefully move along the horizon. Their bodies are adapted to this, projecting fields that dampen the motion of air around their bodies, preventing any potential cataclismic winds from damaging objects or occupants aboard their landmasses. Their highly mobile nature makes them excellent for travelling between larger Ouroborae, and they even have use as raised launch platforms for large quantities of Leviathans.

Plurites have fairly complex epigenetic triggers, translating to an abundance of cell elasticity and a (relatively) rapid metabolic rate. It is believed this is how Plurites survive splitting as well as how they maintain their activity level, with the cell elasticity in particular allowing them to cope well with changing gravity and air pressure.

To think, a Plurite is a "small" creature of any description... It makes me laugh, sometimes. They act like children, frolicking on the horizon. You'd never know they were so truly gigantic if you looked at them from far enough away... I suppose that fact makes them all the more charming.

Plurites are effectively continent-scale logistics platforms, acting as colossal ferries. They trace back their heritage to large islands like that of Madagascar, not being quite the size of full continents, but being large enough to qualify as their own true landmasses.
